Justin Gabriel vs. Cody Rhodes

The Miz, who is on commentary, says that Gabriel is his dad’s favorite Superstar and he isn’t. Gabriel suplexes Cody into the ring from the apron, then both men block armdrags and Cody takes him down with a neckbreaker. Neck vice from Cody, but Justin counters and hits Cody with a chinbreaker. Spinwheel kick from Gabriel and a back suplex almost pust Cody away, but not quite. Springboard moonsault by Gabriel doesn’t put Cody away either. Justin tries the 450 Splash, but Cody rolls away. Cody tries Cross Rhodes, but Gabriel rolls him up for a two count. Alabama Slam from Cody gets a two count on Gabriel, then Cody then puts him away with Cross Rhodes.

Justin Gabriel & The Usos vs. 3MB

One of the Usos is worked over for most of the match by alternating members of 3MB, who make quick tags to keep him isolated. After the second break, the other Uso is being worked over by Heath Slater. Jay counters off the ropes with a great sunset flip, but Slater kicks out and levels him with a big boot for a two-count. Reverse headlock slapped on now, but Jey counters sending him shoulder-first into the ring post. Jimmy and Drew McIntyre get the hot tags, and the Uso goes on the advantage with right hands a big Samoan Drop. In comes Justin Gabriel who gets a diving crossbody on Drew McIntyre. 3MB treis to leave the match and begins to exit up the ramp, but Gabriel flies over the top rope and takes them all out with a corkscrew splash. Hey throws Slater back in the ring, and Jay Uso connects with a huge superkick. Justin Gabriel goes up to the top rope and comes down with the 450 Splash for the win.

Justin Gabriel vs. Heath Slater w/Drew McIntyre & Jinder Mahal

Slater shoves Gabriel aside and does some air guitar. Slater with a go-behind, but Gabriel takes him down. Gabriel with an armdrag, then mocks Slater. Gabriel with a drop toe hold, then rolls up Slater for a nearfall. Gabriel with an armbar, followed by another roll-up for a nearfall. Gabriel with a wristlock, but Slater with a right hand. Gabriel with one of his own, followed by a chop and then locks in a side headlock. Gabriel with a shoulder tackle, cartwheels over Slater, then armdrags him again back into the armbar, but Slater gets to the ropes. Slater trips up Gabriel and locks in a side headlock. Gabriel takes down Slater and goes to his own side headlock. Gabriel with another shoulder tackle, then blocks a hiptoss and hits a monkey flip. Gabriel follows up with another armdrag right back into the armbar. Slater backs Gabriel into the ropes, then whips him, but Gabriel goes up & over and takes Slater to the outside with a headscissors takeover. Gabriel with a head of steam and takes out all of 3MB with a tope suicida. Gabriel sends Slater back in while 3MB argue with the ref. The ref then ejects McIntyre & Mahal from ringside. Slater nails Gabriel from behind, but then Gabriel sidesteps and sends him to the outside. Gabriel seems to be in complete control as we go to commercial.

Back from commercial as Gabriel has Slater once again in an armbar. Slater comes back with right hands, but Gabriel reverses a whip. Gabriel is sent to the apron, but he comes back with a roundhouse kick to the head. Gabriel heads up top, but Slater runs up the ropes and hits a powerslam. Slater with the cover, but Gabriel gets his foot on the bottom rope. Slater stomps away on Gabriel, then has words with the ref. Slater locks in a chinlock as the crowd wills on Gabriel. Gabriel fights back, but Slater with a knee to the ribs. Slater with left-hand jabs, followed by a big right hand. Slater taunts the crowd with some air guitar, then drops a knee on Gabriel. Slater with a hard whip to the corner, followed by another big right hand for a nearfall. Slater goes to the 2nd rope, but Gabriel catches him with a boot to the face when Slater leaps off. Gabriel with a leg sweep, then avoids a charge. Gabriel with a series of kicks, tiger flips over Slater and hits a spin kick. Gabriel with a discus right hand, does a little werewolf howl, then hits an angled avalanche in the corner. Gabriel heads up top and hits a crossbody for a nearfall. Gabriel with forearms, followed by a leaping back kick off the 2nd rope. Gabriel heads up top, but Slater stops him. Slater goes up with Gabriel and goes for a superplex, but Gabriel knocks him off. Gabriel hits the 450 Splash for the victory.

Justin Gabriel vs. Fandango

Fandango does a little dance and poses. Gabriel mocks him, so Fandango kicks him down. Gabriel counters a suplex, and he hits an arm drag. Gabriel gets a one count, and Fandango rolls out of the ring. Fandango shoulders him in the midsection, but Gabriel takes him down with another arm drag. Fandango backs him to the corner and punches away at him. Fandango ties Gabriel in the ropes and punches away at him. Fandango gets out of the ring, and he leaps up to kick Gabriel in the head for a near fall. Fandango poses over him before Gabriel kicks away at him. Fandango reverses a whip, but Gabriel flips over him and hits a roundhouse kick. Gabriel springboards off the ropes into a kick, and Fandango takes him down with a big Russian leg sweep. Fandango then goes to the top rope and hits a Diving Leg Drop for the win. Fandango grabs a microphone and clarifies how to say his name correctly.

Wade Barrett vs. Justin Gabriel for the IC Belt brought us back from the intermission. Most people were still not back in their seats, but Barrett still got a huge pop for his entrance. Barrett retained the title with the Bullhammer.

Mick Foley was standing by to make an announcement. The camera pulled back to reveal Kofi Kingston and Justin Gabriel, who thought the big announcement was Foley putting them together as a tag team. However, Foley booked them in a singles match against each other this morning. Kofi and Gabriel uneasily accepted the news, then Kofi made sure there was no misunderstanding that he wants to win this match. Gabriel said that’s fine because he doesn’t want any misunderstandings when he wins the match. Kofi and Gabriel agreed to disagree, then shook hands.

Justin Gabriel vs. Kofi Kingston

Counters and reversals early on before Kofi grabbed a bearhug to slow down Kofi. Gabriel followed with a deep armdrag to keep Kofi on the mat. Gabriel tried to flow into a monkey flip, but Kofi landed on his feet. Counter, reversal, and a stand-off to draw applause. Gabriel slowed down Kofi again. Kofi broke free and set up for the Trouble in Paradise, but Gabriel easily ducked and clotheslined Kofi. Gabriel then wanted the 450 Splash, but Kofi saw it coming and rolled to the other side of the ring. “No, no no!” Kofi said, waving his finger at Gabriel. Slam cut to break.

Back from commercial, Gabriel was in control of the action. More counters and reversals until Gabriel slowed things down with a headlock. Kofi then broke free and landed a loud chop to Gabriel’s chest. Kofi built momentum, then hit the Boom Drop. Kofi wanted Trouble in Paradise again, but Gabriel saw it coming and backed up to avoid the finisher. Kofi grabbed Gabriel for a Russian Legsweep, then wanted a springboard moonsault, but Gabriel blocked with knees to the gut. Gabriel then nailed a springboard cross-body and nearly scored a three count. Gabriel built momentum with a leg-sweep into a standing moonsault, but Kofi kicked out of a pin in-time. Gabriel showed frustration. Kofi used Gabriel’s momentary lapse to then execute an SOS and score a quick three count to inch out a victory over Gabriel. Post-match, Kofi reached out to Gabriel for a handshake, which Gabriel accepted.

Justin Gabriel vs. Leo Kruger

They circle around each other and tie up. Kruger backs Gabriel into the corner and the ref breaks them up. They exchange chops back and forth. Kruger hits a kick to the gut, followed by a pair of shoulder knockdowns. Gabriel lands an arm drag takedown and keeps Kruger’s arm locked in. Kruger gets to his feet but Gabriel whips him back to the mat and goes back to work on his arm. Kruger backs him into the corner and then hits a spine buster. He kicks Gabriel in the back of the neck and then elbows his chest repeatedly.

Gabriel counters with a monkey flip. Gabriel lands a series of kicks. He lands a clothesline, followed by another kick. He tries to hit a springboard something, but Kruger hits the ropes and Gabriel falls to the mat. Kruger hits a huge clothesline for a near pin fall. He tries to lock in a submission, but Gabriel kicks him in the face and locks in a Fujiwara arm bar. Kruger makes it to the ropes. Gabriel whips Kruger into the corner and kicks him off the middle rope in the chin. He goes up top and Kruger stops him. Kruger climbs up, but Gabriel hits him off. Kruger headbutts Gabriel and then tries for a superplex, but Gabriel delivers forearms to the back. Kruger knocks Gabriel off the turnbuckle and lands a double boot stomp. He then locks in an inverted key lock and Gabriel taps.

Winner: Leo Kruger

Battle Royal for the #1 Contender to the Intercontinental Championship
Jinder Mahal vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Jimmy Uso vs. Jey Uso vs. Justin Gabriel vs. The Great Khali vs. Alex Riley vs.Santino Marella vs. Primo vs. Epico vs. Yoshi Tatsu

One of the Usos was eliminated early, and Yoshi Tatsu quickly followed. Khali eliminated Epico and Mahal and celebrated as the show went to commercial. Back from the break, Khali continued to dominate the action. The other participants attempted to toss him out together, but he managed to fight them off. The others regrouped and managed to eliminate Khali on their second attempt. The final four are Santino Marella, Primo, Drew McIntyre, and Justin Gabriel. Santino worked his comedy move set and brought out The Cobra. It struck Primo, but Primo went through the middle rope. McIntyre dumped Marella to the floor. McIntyre and Gabriel battled in the ring and McIntyre tossed Gabriel over the top, but Gabriel skinned the cat. On the way back into, he caught McIntyre in a head scissors and pulled McIntyre to the floor. Primo attempted to attack Gabriel from behind, but Gabriel turned in time and dumped Primo to the floor.

Winner: Justin Gabriel

Matt Striker approached Gabriel after the match and asked him if he’s ready. Gabriel said he and Barrett used to be best friends, but that was long ago. Gabriel said if karma exists, then Barrett’s title reign ends tonight. Gabriel said he was going to do the same thing with the Intercontinental title that Kingston did with the United Sates Championship on Raw.

Gabriel kept Barrett off his feet with a series of flashy kicks, but Barrett rolled to the floor and caught a pursuing Gabriel with a clothesline. Back from the break, Barrett hit a pumphandle slam for a near fall. Barrett worked Gabriel over with a series of power moves and locked in a rest hold. Barrett hit his high knee and big boot combo to send Gabriel to the floor. Gabriel made it back in at eight, but Barrett pounced on him and continued his assault. Gabriel made a brief comeback, but Barrett hit the Winds of Change for a great near fall. Barrett went for another pumphandle slam, but Gabriel reserves it into a neckbreaker. Gabriel followed with a springboard moonsault for a near fall. Gabriel set up for the 450 splash, but Barrett rolled away. Barrett raked the eyes of Gabriel and followed with the Bullhammer for the victory.

Justin Gabriel, Zack Ryder & The Great Khali vs. The Shield

Rollins and Khali go at it. Khali takes him to the corner and hits a big chop before tagging in Ryder. Ryder and Rollins go at it. Rollins runs into double knees but sends Ryder to the mat from the top. Rollins stomps away on Ryder mounts him with right hands. Ambrose comes in and they double team Ryder. Ambrose works over Ryder and hits a dropkick against the ropes. Reigns comes in and decks Ryder. Reigns tosses Ryder into the corner and beats him down. Ambrose comes in for more double teaming on Gabriel now. Khali gets knocked off the apron. Ambrose holds Gabriel in a surfboard type move as Rollins comes crashing off the top for the win.
